The FRM220-CWDM is a CWDM Mux/Demux line card that supports CWDM wavelengths from 1271nm to 1611nm according to ITU-T G.694.2. The FRM220-CWDM module can transmit various services such as 10G Ethernet, 10GFC, STM-64, and OC-192 over the same fiber link, and it is protocol/ speed transparent. The passive FRM220-CWDM comes in 4, 8, and 16-channel (wavelength) types and supports various combinations of wavelengths and port configurations. The space-saving, compact CWDM card module is one of the smallest high-density models in the industry. The FRM220-CWDM card module is a passive device and does not require power. By housing the FRM220-CWDM together with other FRM220 media converters and transponders in an FRM220 chassis, it enables a multi-service platform that can provide Ethernet, TDM, voice, and other services over a common CWDM fiber link.

Using a DWDM MUX/DEMUX device that supports a 100GHz channel spacing, it is possible to combine or separate wavelength channels in accordance with the ITU grid. There are three types available: 4, 8, and 16 channels. These DWDM modules passively multiplex up to 16 channels of optical signals and demultiplex them to the other end device via a single-core optical fiber. All DWDM MUX DEMUX modules achieve excellent optical performance and high reliability technology, making fiber handling and energy-saving solutions easy to implement.

The FRM220 series is a multi-service chassis platform that provides reliable solutions for high-density media converter modules in applications such as telecommunications, enterprise, long-distance transmission, and factory automation. The power modules, fans, management modules, and interface cards for the FRM220-CH20 and FRM220-CH08 chassis are all hot-swappable, allowing for replacement without interrupting communication. The FRM220-CH04A is a fixed-type chassis with built-in AC and DC power. Available power options include built-in AC, DC power, or redundant power configurations of AC + DC, AC + AC, and DC + DC. The FRM220 series is offered in three types of chassis: 2U 20 slots (FRM220-CH20), 1U 8 slots (FRM220-CH08), and 1U 4 slots (FRM220-CH04A).

The FRM220-OAP10 is a FRM220 chassis rack managed single channel optical amplifier preamp module that provides multifunction, low noise, Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) solutions for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) applications. The FRM220-OAP10 operates at the receiving end of an optical link. It features medium to low input power, medium output power, and medium gain and designed for optical amplification to compensate for losses in a De-multiplexer located near the optical receiver. The FRM220-OAP10 provides Automatic Gain Control (AGC) via rack management or RS-232 console interface. Its fast transient suppression feature allowing the output power to be kept at a constant level when there are fast changes in input power

The FRM220-OAB21 is a multifunctional, low-noise amplifier (EDFA) designed for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) applications. The FRM220-OAB21A is installed on the transmitting side of the optical connection. It features medium to low input power sensitivity, medium output power, and medium gain, and is designed for optical amplification to compensate for the losses of the demultiplexer on the receiving side. The FRM220-OAB21A provides automatic gain control (AGC) through management via a chassis and an RS-232 console interface. With its fast transient suppression capability, it can maintain the output power at a constant level when the input power changes rapidly.

The CWDS/DWDS/DWDM series are passive WDM Mux/DeMux filters. The WDS series allows unidirectional/bidirectional communication of 2 to 16 wavelengths with a single fiber, while the WDM series enables multiple unidirectional/bidirectional communications of up to 16 wavelengths with two fibers. Due to being passive devices, different protocols can be used simultaneously for each channel. There is also a rack-mounted chassis available that can accommodate 2 units (WDM-2-05US) in a 0.5U size and 4 units (WDM-2-01U) in a 1U size.
