On October 1, 2012, Mitsubishi Electric Lighting Corporation, Mitsubishi Electric Osram Corporation, and Osram Melco Corporation, three lighting-related companies of the Mitsubishi Electric Group, were integrated to establish a comprehensive lighting manufacturer that develops, manufactures, and sells lighting sources and lighting fixtures. The LED brand "MILIE" was launched.
