Due to these characteristics, aluminum is a material that is difficult to shape and weld. However, it offers significant advantages such as corrosion resistance and maintained toughness at low temperatures, making it suitable for piping in harsh corrosive environments like seawater, as well as for extremely low-temperature piping and tanks for liquefied natural gas and liquid hydrogen. At Benkan Kiko, we have established four logistics bases to ensure smoother delivery of products requested by our customers: two locations in Gunma Prefecture (Kiryu Factory and Kiryu Branch Factory), one in Kanagawa Prefecture (Ashigara Logistics Center), and one in Hyogo Prefecture (Amagasaki Warehouse). This time, we would like to introduce the Ashigara Logistics Center in Kanagawa Prefecture, which manages the largest scale of shipments among these locations. The Ashigara Logistics Center specializes in the rapid dispatch of products, focusing on those with high market circulation, such as JIS standard items. Located in Minamiashigara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, it takes advantage of its suitable location near the Tomei Expressway IC to facilitate wide-ranging shipments from Hokkaido to Okinawa. We support same-day shipping (with the fastest delivery by the next day) and can accommodate a wide range of needs, including direct delivery by 4-ton and 10-ton trucks, as well as air freight, ensuring we meet various customer demands. At the Amagasaki warehouse, we hold stock of JIS standard products that have a high distribution volume in the market, similar to the Ashigara Logistics Center. For example, by shipping products from the Amagasaki warehouse, it is possible for them to arrive a day earlier than shipments from the Ashigara Logistics Center (Kanagawa Prefecture). Anticipating such cases, we are strengthening our inventory to enable short delivery times, especially for customers in the western Japan area (Kinki region, Chugoku region, Shikoku region, Kyushu region). We stock not only welded pipe fittings but also a wide variety of stainless steel flanges. We appropriately allocate shipping points while confirming the delivery destinations of our customers. Elbows are categorized into 90° elbows, 45° elbows, and 180° elbows according to JIS standards. In cases where these angles are insufficient for piping design, JIS standards recognize "special angle elbows," which can be manufactured at special angles as needed for piping design. Elbows manufactured at special intermediate angles such as 60°, 30°, and 135° are referred to as "special angle (end angle) elbows." The Amagasaki Warehouse (Osaka Factory, Fusso Area) is a production base for welded pipe fittings and also holds inventory of welded pipe fittings to deliver products to customers in the western Japan area (Kinki region, Chugoku region, Shikoku region, Kyushu region) in a short lead time. Recently, we have added FSGP TEE (5B to 14B) and FSGP Elbow (14B to 20B) to the inventory at the Amagasaki Warehouse. This will enable us to respond to customers in the western Japan area with even shorter lead times. Additionally, for the FSGP Elbow (14B to 20B), we have established a production system in the Fusso area, allowing us to further expand and support our customers with a more abundant inventory.

There are cases where "polishing" is applied as a surface finish specification requirement for welded pipe fittings, and particularly for stainless steel products, there is a smooth, glossy finish achieved through "buff polishing." "Buff polishing" is a method that uses a polishing tool equipped with cotton, felt, or wool called a "buff," along with a paste-like abrasive material, to smooth the surface, especially when a mirror finish is required. Buff polishing has classifications of "roughness," expressed as a specific number finish. Generally, the larger the number, the higher the grade, resulting in a glossier product surface. At Benkan Kiko, regardless of buff polishing finish, we accommodate surface grade specifications not only with abrasive particle sizes but also with surface roughness parameters (Ra, Rmax, etc.), roughness symbols, evaluations using comparison test pieces, and assessments using surface roughness gauges, allowing us to meet surface grade requirements tailored to specific applications.
