To quickly search for accurate information according to purpose, excellent tools are necessary. Since our establishment in 1965, we have consistently collected and organized information on literature, individuals, events, and terms, accumulating vast amounts of this information as digital content and providing it in accordance with the characteristics of various media. Initially, our information provision focused on printed materials such as bibliographies, indexes, dictionaries, and encyclopedias. However, with the advancement of information technology, we launched the online information service "NICHIGAI ASSIST" in 1986. Additionally, with the emergence of the new medium of CD-ROM, we actively engaged in creating tools in the form of electronic publishing. Furthermore, we started the subscription-based information service "NICHIGAI/WEB Service" on the internet in 1997. We believe that the accumulation of intellectual information is one of the social assets, and we are advancing our tool development with this recognition. Moving forward, we aim to minimize subjective judgments and assertions, focusing on "recording information," and we are committed to creating reliable tools and information services.
