Gentle Flow Pump – A groundbreaking product in diaphragm pump innovation KNF's Gentle Flow series employs two advanced design techniques to achieve minimal pulsation. One is a design that uses an internal damper integrated within the pump to absorb pressure fluctuations. The other is a design that connects up to five diaphragms in parallel, operating each with a phase difference to smooth the flow. Both configurations minimize vibration and noise, enabling precise flow control through a built-in brushless DC motor.

Pump cavitation occurs when localized low-pressure areas form within the pump or system, leading to the formation and collapse of bubbles. This can cause erosion, vibration, and noise, potentially resulting in significant damage to the pump body, other components of the fluid system, and the transported fluid. This phenomenon affects all positive displacement pumps, including diaphragm pumps, reciprocating pumps, centrifugal pumps, and gear pumps. Cavitation can be effectively prevented by adopting optimized pump solutions that incorporate built-in pulsation dampers and taking appropriate measures to optimize the entire fluid system.
