An article introducing our company's operation and maintenance (O&M) business related to geothermal binary power generation facilities and steam supply facilities at our Oita plant (Kokonoe Town, Oita Prefecture), as well as engineering support for the (tentative name) Katatsumuri Mountain Power Plant (Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture) promoted by Koyasu Geothermal Co., Ltd., has been published in the Engineering Network (ENN) magazine (published by the Heavy Chemical Industry Communications Association). As a member of the Idemitsu Group, we will continue to strongly support the geothermal business promoted by the group.

We will be exhibiting at the Plant Maintenance Show (organized by the Japan Plant Maintenance Association and the Japan Management Association) to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from July 18 to 20. The focus will be on pipeline inspection, which has seen an increase in inquiries recently, featuring the intelligent pig technology introduced from the U.S. Quest Integrity Group LLC. This technology contributes to the safety and peace of mind of our customers' facilities. Quest's inspection pigs are effective for small diameter pipelines (from 2 inches) and for pipelines with large curvature, such as those in heating furnaces. We also welcome any questions or requests regarding overall facility management, so please visit our booth.

In the "Pressure Technology" Vol. 56, No. 1 (2018) issued by the Japan Society of High Pressure Technology, we published a paper on the efforts of the Idemitsu Group in equipment management, discussing the current status and future trends. The paper explores various aspects of equipment management technology, including technology, organization, and knowledge transfer, and also introduces specific case studies of the Idemitsu Group's initiatives, such as FMEA, RBI, and advanced simulations.
