Our company, Shinsei Kogyo Co., Ltd., was the first in the world to put ultrasonic motors into practical use, commercializing them in 1986. Since then, we have continuously improved ultrasonic motors, aiming to enhance their functionality and reliability. The culmination of that technology is the USR series (USR30 and USR60 series). The USR series features compact size, low speed, high torque, and high holding power when not powered, making it ideal for actuators. With high responsiveness and very low operating noise, ultrasonic motors are widely used in applications such as camera autofocus and lifting mechanisms in measuring instruments. In recent years, our non-magnetic ultrasonic motors have gained significant attention as motors that can be used within MRI machines, serving as embedded actuators for medical devices.
