INFINITY is a built-in recording method measuring instrument controlled by a high-performance 16-bit MCU and equipped with a miniSD card as the recording medium. In the COMPACT series, the flash memory was fixed on the electronic circuit board, which required the instrument to be directly connected to a computer for setting observation programs and transferring data. Additionally, since RS-232C was used for data communication, there were numerous requests from users for improvements due to slow transfer times. The new INFINITY has specifications that can resolve all these issues. Users can choose to input observation settings directly from a computer via USB or input settings on a miniSD card removed from the instrument using a computer. Furthermore, by using USB and miniSD cards, the transfer speed has significantly improved. As a result, it enables quick, safe, and easy handling regardless of the field environment.

The compact and lightweight body is equipped with sensors for compass, tilt, pressure, and temperature, which are recorded in the built-in memory. The sensor head is configured with three transducers tilted at 25 degrees, using three ultrasonic beams to obtain flow velocity profiles at any layer thickness (minimum 30 cm) and up to a maximum of 128 layers. With the standard 9MB memory and internal battery, it can conduct observations for 2 to 4 months. Additionally, by adding more batteries, the observation period can be further extended.

The current weather gauge PWD22 detects precipitation using a capacitive rain sensor.
