Here is an introduction to a case solved by our "Brodisk." The introduction of our bridge prevention device was implemented in the hopper section of a powdered activated carbon storage silo. There is a vibrating discharge device at the bottom of the silo, and the installation is in the hopper section above it. We installed eight standard Brodisks and used a controller that incorporates four solenoid valves to sequentially activate two Brodisks at four locations. We will introduce a case where the problem of high-moisture granules bridging at the hopper outlet was resolved by installing a Brodie disk and a Brodie disk mini. Initially, you were using an overseas vibrator (air ball type), which had some effectiveness but occasionally caused bridging, leading you to contact us. First, the risk of blockage is highest just above the outlet, so we installed two Brodie disk minis in that location. It is preferable to install them close to the discharge outlet, which is why we chose the Brodie disk mini. Additionally, we installed two Brodie disks about 150mm higher along the hopper wall than the Brodie disk mini. We received an inquiry from a customer stating, "A bridge has occurred in the recycling equipment, and I would like to try a BroaDisk." Here, we introduce a case that led to the implementation. The target materials were crushed gypsum powder and gypsum board paper, which exhibited significant variability in the properties of the contents, and there were situations where hammering did not improve the condition at all. We proposed the model, layout, and control plan, and the customer conducted tests using a dummy hopper. Since the test results were favorable, they decided to proceed with the implementation. When establishing a new silo, it was noted that the conventional general aeration has a high risk of "bridge formation (for the customer)," and thus, our Brodisk was adopted. Replacing air knockers and electromagnetic vibrators, the Brodisk will become the standard for powder bridge breakers in the future. We would like to introduce a case where a blow disk was used as a bridging countermeasure at the discharge section of a dryer hopper. Flake-shaped raw materials can present more troublesome cases compared to pellets or general grinding materials. In this instance, to address this issue, we are injecting air at a higher pressure for each blow disk individually. We would like to introduce a case where our "Brodisk" was adopted for a quicklime silo based on a consultation from an engineering company. In this case, we used the controller "C-SV4," which has four built-in solenoid valves. The advantage of using the controller is that it allows for easy adjustment of the air ON/OFF time according to the situation on-site, and it enables the setting of double shots at specific locations and the interval time after one cycle is completed. Additionally, because the solenoid valves are built-in, installation is straightforward, contributing to the total cost.
