Rittal Co., Ltd., the Japanese subsidiary of Germany's Rittal, the world's largest enclosure manufacturer, has officially launched a new series of support arm systems, CP60/120/180, for control panels used in machine tools and various industrial machinery in Japan. Support arms used in machine control panels are mostly custom-made from sheet metal, as there are no commercially available options, leading to various time and cost implications due to complex strength calculations and design drafting required for production. Rittal's support arm system allows for optimal configurations by selecting the length of the horizontal part of the arm and the shape of the arm to be attached at the tip (vertical part), combining standardized modules. This significantly reduces design time associated with cumbersome drafting and features a structure that simplifies installation and wiring, making it suitable for use in machine tools and many other applications worldwide. The new series enhances the freedom of combinations according to application by unifying the design of the conventional rotating parts and arms, contributing to the standardization of the entire system for customers and reducing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
