The accumulation of scrap during press processing is one of the inseparable issues in press processing, as it can lead to defects caused by product dents and damage to molds, punches, button dies, and jigs due to double punching. Factors contributing to scrap accumulation include adhesion due to vacuum, adhesion to the punch cutting edge, and lifting caused by compressed air in the die. Measures against these factors include processing the cutting edge of the punch, adding air holes to the punch, installing ejector pins, and making the die cutting edge all taper. However, replacing punches and dies, design changes, and equipment adjustments require time and cost. The "Depo Series" is our original patented product that can be used for both preventive maintenance coatings and repair on machine parts and molds, applying the principles of electrical discharge machining. By coating the sides and bottom of the punch with tungsten carbide, wear resistance and anti-seizing properties are imparted, preventing the lifting and adhesion of the stripping plate when removing the punch. This is particularly effective for sticky materials such as stainless steel and aluminum.

In aluminum die casting and casting molds, high-temperature molten aluminum flows at high speed, causing erosion and melting on the mold surface. Additionally, heat expansion and cooling contraction lead to the occurrence of heat cracks. The Depo series prevents mold melting, seizing, galling, and heat cracks by coating with cermet electrodes, improving fluidity and reducing the defect rate of products.

It is possible to easily repair scratches, galling, wear, corrosion, pinholes, processing errors, etc. on molds and machine parts on-site using distortion-free, second shrinkage, and stress-free buildup welding.
