This is an ER collet that conforms to the DIN 6499 standard. The accuracy is at a standard level. While Japanese-made ER spring collets have runout accuracy of ±0.003 mm to ±0.005 mm, the Fasttech ER spring collets have a runout accuracy of ±0.015 mm to ±0.020 mm. Even so, they are more precise than drill chucks and can securely hold drills. This is a user-friendly ER spring collet that prioritizes low cost over high standards of runout accuracy.

The "Fast Tech ER Collet" is a spring collet that conforms to the DIN6499 standard with an 8-degree taper. The precision is standard grade. While Japanese-made ER spring collets have runout precision of ±0.003mm to ±0.005mm, this product has a runout precision of ±0.015mm to ±0.020mm. Nevertheless, it is more precise than a drill chuck and can securely hold drills.
