FASMAC Free Webinar - 3rd Session: Techniques for Qualitative Real-Time PCR Testing of Food Allergens - "Mandatory Labeling of Walnuts"

On March 9, 2023, a Cabinet Office Ordinance partially amending the food labeling standards was promulgated, adding "walnuts" to the list of specified ingredients, making it mandatory to label allergens, which now include eight items: "shrimp, crab, walnuts, wheat, buckwheat, eggs, milk, and peanuts."
In this seminar, we will introduce the qualitative real-time PCR method for walnuts (Walnut-H method) in accordance with the Consumer Affairs Agency notification, as well as the qualitative real-time PCR methods for wheat, buckwheat, and peanuts that were simultaneously included with this amendment, along with inspection techniques.
