We would like to introduce a case study of the "Impeller" manufactured by Iida Seisakusho. An impeller is a rotating blade that moves fluids. The rotation of the impeller generates the force to transport liquids and gases. A common example in our daily lives is the open-type impeller used in washing machines and exhaust fans. We would like to introduce a processing example of the "toroidal propeller" manufactured by Iida Manufacturing. The toroidal propeller is a new type of propeller that is gaining attention in the propeller technology for aircraft and drones. It does not require molds for machining, as it can be processed using cutting techniques and 3D printing. It can be provided in the necessary dimensions. The resin-based "toroidal propeller" is lightweight, reduces noise, and has excellent weather resistance and chemical resistance.
