[Key Lecture Content]
There is a demand for a transition from the traditional economy of "making, using, and discarding" in large quantities (linear economy) to a "circular economy" that reuses resources as much as possible without consuming them.
While the importance of this shift is becoming understood, many companies hesitate to take actual action due to concerns such as "Will it be costly?" and "Will it negatively impact our current business?"
In this lecture, we will introduce the significance and effects of the circular economy, trends in domestic and international policies, and the initiatives that companies are currently required to undertake, along with ideas for policies and support that can facilitate these efforts.
