In 2020, the "mandatory energy-saving standards for housing" are scheduled to be implemented, and it is expected that Japanese homes will increasingly aim for high airtightness and high insulation. However, at the same time, measures against condensation during the summer must be considered. In a site where glass wool was filled using the 2x4 construction method and a vapor barrier was installed on the interior side, significant corrosion due to condensation occurred. It is believed that the interior became hot and humid, leading to condensation as it was cooled by the air conditioner on the inside. The hold-down hardware also showed white mold, and if corrosion progresses like this, it will pose problems for the durability of the building. This type of summer condensation particularly occurs in regions with high temperatures and humidity, like Japan. "Dry Pro" is a floor dehumidifying blower that effectively eliminates moisture and condensation, and is useful for preventing mold, pests, and decay fungi in the wooden parts under the floor. Assuming the early stages of new construction for homes with foundation insulation methods, 36 liters of water were sprinkled on the foundation under each building, and dried wood (cedar) was installed to measure the moisture content of the wood and the humidity under the floor. As a result, the buildings where this product was installed gradually dried out by repeatedly operating the dehumidification process every day, and after about two months, an average of approximately 70% RH in a dried state was confirmed even outside of the dehumidification operation hours.
