In Europe, a proposal for the ELV regulation has been made, which includes the mandatory minimum content of recycled plastics in automobiles. Building a recycled plastic market to support the stable production of our country's automobile industry is an urgent and important issue. Through initiatives for collaboration between industry and academia, the Ministry of the Environment has established a "Consortium for Building a Market for Recycled Materials for Automobiles" since last year, aimed at advancing the construction of a recycled plastic market. This lecture will introduce the initiatives of the consortium and the concept of a centralized hub for establishing a stable supply system for recycled plastics for automobiles.
