Thermal conductivity is the amount of heat that flows through an area of 1 m² in one second when there is a temperature difference of 1°C across a thickness of 1 m.

Thermal conductivity refers to the measure of how easily heat is conducted. High thermal conductivity → Heat is easily transmitted Low thermal conductivity → Heat is not easily transmitted Liquids conduct heat better than gases, and solids conduct heat better than liquids, with the order of thermal conductivity being "gas < liquid < solid." Metals have high thermal conductivity, while materials like polyurethane foam have low thermal conductivity, which is even lower than that of air.
