In other words, it is an optical filter that simultaneously realizes the characteristics of both a UV cut filter and an IR cut filter. By placing it in front of CMOS sensors or CCD sensors, it serves multiple roles such as cutting noise light, providing heat protection against various light sources, and preventing degradation of liquid crystal components due to ultraviolet light. It is an excellent optical filter and optical thin film with multiple functions.
