In other words, the global trend is not to focus solely on BEVs but to increase all types of electric vehicles (xEVs), including HEVs, PHEVs, and FCEVs. The key components of electric vehicles (xEVs) are the motor, power control unit (PCU), and battery. Among these, the performance of the motor directly affects the performance of the vehicle. Thus, motor technology is fundamental to all electric vehicles (xEVs). This seminar will explain the basic technologies, performance, cooling, miniaturization, and high-speed advancements of motors used in electric vehicles (xEVs) and will look ahead to future trends.
