The shipbuilding industry is a core industry that supports maritime logistics and is also a strategic industry that underpins energy security, economic security, regional industries, and technological foundations. In the Japan Growth Strategy Council, shipbuilding is positioned as one of the important fields, and there are high expectations for it to help reconstruct the industrial competitiveness of our country.
On the other hand, the environment surrounding shipbuilding and shipping is changing significantly due to intensified international competition, responses to decarbonization, a shortage of human resources, and the advancement of design and production systems.
