[Seminar] Cybersecurity Redefined by AI
[Speaker]
Professor Yuji Sekiya, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, The University of Tokyo
[Key Lecture Content]
In recent years, the rapid advancement of generative AI has led to the automation and sophistication of cyber attacks, requiring the defense side to adopt responses that differ from traditional approaches. In particular, the dramatic improvement in AI's ability to discover and analyze vulnerabilities is accelerating the identification of unknown vulnerabilities and is changing the very security model of "responding after vulnerabilities are disclosed."
This lecture will overview the changes that AI brings to both cyber attacks and defenses, as well as explain the automation of security operations using AI and the practical responses required for IT infrastructure, including cloud and networks.
[Lecture Items]
