33rd Matching Seminar: New Business Opportunities Arising from New Materials - The Potential of Polysaccharide-Derived High-Toughness Hydrogel - Free Online Event on August 3 (Monday)
We will hold a "University-Origin Seed Matching Seminar" to introduce cutting-edge technologies developed at universities and public research institutions. The theme for this seminar is "New Business Opportunities Arising from New Materials - The Potential of Polysaccharide-Derived High-Toughness Hydrogels."
Polysaccharide-derived hydrogels, which possess high toughness and flexibility, are expected to be a new material for electrolyte materials in next-generation batteries. There are also expectations for applications in a wide range of fields such as medical and healthcare, and soft materials. In this seminar, the inventors themselves will introduce the characteristics of the technology, as well as potential applications and possibilities for joint research and commercialization.
Program:
13:35-13:55: "Natural Polysaccharide Hydrogels Exhibiting High Toughness, High Heat Resistance, and High Ion Conductivity"
Associate Professor Junichi Horinaka, Department of Chemical Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University
We will introduce polysaccharide-derived hydrogels that combine high toughness and flexibility. Focusing on their characteristics as expected electrolyte materials for next-generation batteries, we will discuss the potential for applications in a wide range of fields such as medical and healthcare, soft materials, and prospects for joint research and commercialization.
13:55-14:10: Introduction of Application Developments and Q&A
