In traditional history-based CAD, when overall proportion changes (macro) overlap with precise adjustments (micro) such as boss positions, significant rework occurs due to history reconstruction errors.
ThinkDesign combines "GSM (Global Shape Modeling)," which smoothly deforms shapes in space, with "ISM (Interactive Solid Modeling)," which allows direct editing of surfaces without being bound by history. Even with intermediate data imported from other CAD systems that lacks history, intuitive editing can be performed instantly, allowing the entire shape to be dynamically deformed and then precisely moving internal bosses, for example, "3mm to the right."
This frees designers from the need to "appease the CAD" by chasing after reconstruction errors, allowing them to directly translate their design intentions into form. It contributes to a dramatic increase in efficiency and speed in design work.
