[Seminar] "Eliminating 'No Matter How Many Times I Say It, Nothing Changes': Ways to Engage with Subordinates and Organizational Structure"
[Speaker]
Keiko Hirayasu, President and CEO of Selection and Variation Inc.
[Key Lecture Content]
"Nothing changes no matter how many times I say it," "I just wait for instructions and don't take initiative," "When I gave feedback, I was accused of power harassment" -- many managers struggle with developing their subordinates. However, many of the problematic subordinates are not a result of their own qualities, but rather are "shaped" by the goodwill of their superiors and the company's systems, such as evaluation and placement.
In this seminar, a human resources consultant who has supported over 400 organizations will explain how to identify troublesome subordinates using three types: "cognitive, relational, and structural," as well as the three essential skills for managers: "active listening, assertion, and collaboration," incorporating rich examples and insights from psychology and behavioral economics.
