●Background of Introduction In recent years, this plant has seen an increase in factory visitors from abroad, and there were concerns that the originally installed barrier-type car gate had low security both in appearance and function. ●Issues Before Introduction The barrier-type car gate posed a problem as it could be easily bypassed, and since it was located at the main entrance, there was a need to accommodate frequent vehicle traffic. ●Improvement Proposal and Implementation Effects Considering the concerns of the customer, we proposed a fence gate that combines the vehicle handling capacity of the barrier-type car gate with the shielding capability of an electric gate. After implementation, we received positive feedback from the customer due to its robust appearance and ease of use. Additionally, since the installation site is in a coastal area with very strong winds, the bars of the originally installed car gate were prone to breaking in high winds. However, this issue of damage and replacement has been eliminated, allowing for comfortable use.

Due to the proximity of the product storage space to the exit, there had also been incidents of theft from external intrusions. Additionally, employees were not using the designated entrance and were entering and exiting through the car gate, rendering the access management ineffective. ●Improvement Proposal and Implementation Effects The focus of this issue was solely on the fact that individuals could crawl under the car gate. This allowed us to simultaneously achieve the prevention of external intrusions and effective access management for employees.
