Idemitsu will exhibit at the Plant Maintenance Show held at Tokyo Big Sight from July 19 to 21. <Exhibition Content> A facility resilience system that can reduce disaster risks in factories with limited investment. <Date and Location> Date: July 19 to 21 Location: Tokyo Big Sight (immediately accessible from Kokusai-Tenjijo Station on the Rinkai Line) <Highlights> In recent years, measures against natural disaster risks have gained attention in Japan's manufacturing sites. Once factory equipment suffers damage, it often takes a long time to recover, posing a significant risk to stable operations. Idemitsu has built a factory resilience system based on lessons learned from past natural disasters. It is possible to minimize the overall natural disaster risk of a factory at a low cost. Factories and companies struggling with natural disaster measures for their equipment are encouraged to utilize Idemitsu's experience and technology. For more details, please contact us. Invitations can also be sent out.

Seismic evaluation consulting and reinforcement work for high-pressure gas facilities.

[Presenting case studies useful for seismic evaluation] Supporting seismic evaluation and reinforcement work for high-pressure gas storage tanks (spherical tanks, flat-bottomed refrigerated tanks, etc.)!

For high-pressure gas equipment classified as Importance I and Ia, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has stipulated the formulation of seismic reinforcement plans in the document "On Improving the Seismic Resistance of Existing High-Pressure Gas Facilities (20140519 Commercial Bureau No. 1)." Our company has been advancing seismic evaluations, studies, designs, and construction for numerous LPG storage tanks owned by the Idemitsu Group. In our studies, we applied the latest knowledge in seismic motion evaluation and developed and introduced new high-precision simulations to accurately assess behaviors such as shaking and deformation during an earthquake. Through these efforts, we have contributed to improving the seismic performance and ensuring the safety of high-pressure gas facilities by identifying reinforcement locations and subsequently selecting appropriate construction methods and carrying out reinforcement work. 【Do you have any of these concerns?】 - I want to proceed with seismic evaluation but need advice on how to do so. - There are multiple pieces of equipment that require seismic evaluation, and I want to address them systematically. - The results indicate that there are more reinforcement locations needed than expected. I want to reconfirm if this is really the case. - Area constraints may pose limitations on seismic reinforcement work. Are there any good methods available? Our experienced engineers will propose optimal solutions for seismic reinforcement. Please feel free to consult with us.

We will evaluate the seismic resistance of high-pressure gas piping!

Are you struggling with the integrity assessment of long-standing high-pressure gas piping? Idemitsu Eng. verifies integrity at minimum total cost based on experience in refineries!

Are you unsure where to start with the seismic resistance evaluation of existing high-pressure gas piping amid the increasing risk of major earthquakes? Idemitsu Engineering can confirm the integrity of your equipment at a total cost minimum based on our experience in refineries. 【Features】 - Based on our experience within Idemitsu facilities, we identify weak points in the piping through a walk-down inspection. - We conduct detailed evaluations only on the identified areas, minimizing evaluation costs. 【Benefits】 We can verify the seismic resistance of existing high-pressure gas piping built to past standards, ensuring reliability against future major earthquakes. (As of 2016, evaluation of existing piping is not mandatory, but there is a possibility that it may become mandatory in the future, similar to tanks.)

Digitalizing the veteran's expertise! Techniques for sharing know-how to enable young professionals to operate independently.

  • NEW
  • SEMINAR_EVENT

We will address the issue of young employees who, despite joining the company, leave due to reasons such as "there's no time to be taught," "I don't understand when I'm told to learn by watching," and "what is written and said varies depending on the project or person in charge." We propose a system that accumulates the know-how of veterans in AI and systems, allowing young employees to search for and solve problems on their own. 【Schedule】 1: Company introduction and instructor introduction 2: Reasons why technical inheritance is not progressing (lack of time, difficulty in verbalizing) 3: "Next-generation manual and know-how sharing methods" utilizing video and AI search 4: Examples of system construction to institutionalize technical inheritance 5: Q&A and closing remarks

[Seminar] New Industry Map of the 6G Era

  • NEW

[Lecturers] Accenture Ltd. Industry & Enterprise Headquarters Managing Director Yuya Horiguchi, Head of Telecommunications and Media Practice Japan Senior Manager Mamoru Yonemura, Digital Core Strategy [Key Lecture Content] This presentation will analyze the next structure of the telecommunications industry from the perspective of investment and business strategy regarding 6G. As standardization intensifies in preparation for commercialization around 2030, there is also strong caution that we may "repeat the same mistakes as with 5G." Starting from environmental changes that could not be anticipated in 2020, such as the expansion of generative AI demand, commercialization of NTN (satellite communications), data sovereignty, and power/supply constraints, we will organize the points of discussion on infrastructure investment, business restructuring, sharing, and monetization. From the standpoint of connecting enterprise demand with telecommunications infrastructure, we will present the investment decisions that telecommunications operators should make and the materials for their next steps.
