Establishment of a representative office in Vietnam. - Promoting market development with an eye towards the future establishment of a local corporation.
Amano Corporation (Headquarters: Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City; President: Hiroyuki Tsuda; hereinafter referred to as Amano) has established a "Vietnam Representative Office" in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, through its overseas group company, AMANO THAI INTERNATIONAL.
Among ASEAN countries, Vietnam is particularly notable for its remarkable economic development. The average real GDP growth rate from 2015 to 2017 was 6.5%, indicating very high economic growth. Approximately 2,500 Japanese companies have entered Vietnam, including representative offices and service industries, with manufacturing accounting for about half of these Japanese enterprises.
Amano has previously provided dust collectors, mist collectors, and air transport systems to Japanese manufacturing companies through exports from Japan and local subsidiaries in Thailand and sales agents in Vietnam. However, we have frequently received requests from customers for the establishment of a local office. Therefore, we have opened a representative office to offer detailed sales and services closely aligned with local customers, further addressing the challenges faced by Japanese companies entering the market. Additionally, we will promote local research and market development for our information systems and parking systems businesses, keeping in mind the future establishment of a local subsidiary.
