[On-Demand Seminar] Evaluation of Human Exposure in 5G

In addition to the trends of 5G, we will explain the necessary certifications and tests for launching 5G-enabled products in the market.

In Japan, commercial 5G services began in March 2020, marking the arrival of a full-fledged 5G era. 5G not only enhances communication speeds but also leverages features such as massive simultaneous connections and low latency, enabling applications in various fields, including connecting devices, telemedicine, remote operations in factories and construction sites, autonomous driving, and entertainment through the integration of AR and AI technologies. In this seminar, we will introduce the overview and trends of 5G, as well as the necessary testing and certification for products equipped with 5G. On the other hand, concerns about the impact of 5G on human health are also rising, and human exposure tests to determine whether electromagnetic waves emitted by communication devices such as smartphones, laptops, and GPS trackers have adverse effects on the human body are becoming increasingly important. In Japan and around the world, there is a growing demand for human exposure testing for portable wireless devices, and human exposure tests for 5G will be an unavoidable requirement for the future spread of 5G. In this seminar, we will explain not only SAR but also power density measurements necessary for 5G millimeter-wave compliance, and further introduce the testing services we offer.

When conducting structural analysis of organic compounds, IR, NMR, and MS can be considered the three sacred treasures. If the analysis is performed correctly, it is possible to elucidate the structure of even quite complex compounds. However, actual spectra are often not of a single compound, as seen in textbooks, which can lead to significant challenges in interpreting results for beginners in analysis. Additionally, while database searches are a useful tool in structural analysis, the ability to read spectra is necessary to select the correct structure from among the candidates, not just pattern matching. In this course, we will lecture on the basic ways to interpret IR, NMR, and MS spectra, including simple explanations of principles, points to be aware of during analysis, and how to proceed with actual analysis, incorporating some exercises as well.
