The surface preparation for the repair area involves thoroughly removing rust and debris, sanding the repair area, degreasing, and cleaning, followed by drying. Then, the mixed U-Metal standard type should be applied by rubbing it onto the repair area, and finally, it should be applied on top as well to complete the process. Initial curing begins 45 minutes after mixing, and it will harden in 2 to 3 hours. After 24 hours, it will reach a hardness suitable for machining. Using a hairdryer or similar device to apply warm air can also shorten the curing time. The U-Metal standard type cures through a chemical reaction, so the best condition for promoting curing is when the thickness of the mixed U-Metal is around 5mm. Conversely, if you want to delay curing, spreading it thinly will slow it down. Cooling the base agent in advance can further delay the curing time.
