"Machida's Ambition II" is an FPGA/CPLD development evaluation kit aimed at the factory automation (FA) market. It features unique interfaces such as motors and sensors, providing characteristics not found in other boards, allowing evaluation to be initiated solely with "Machida's Ambition II," making it usable across a wide range of industries. The advantage of developing FA FPGA with "Machida's Ambition II" lies in the ability to replace expensive components with more affordable ones. If expensive servo motors are being used, it becomes possible to replace them with inexpensive DC motors by transferring the mechanism that suppresses rotation from the motor to the FPGA. Chantilly developed "Machida's Ambition II" as a tool to support such cost reduction.
