◆JIS Z 0202: Packaging Goods - Drop Test Method The suspended free-fall test owned by JBL is suitable for drop testing large heavy cargo. The test item is lifted to a specified height using a hoist crane with a maximum load of 1.5 tons, and the hook of the hoist is released remotely to allow the test item to fall freely. For measuring acceleration waveforms, a dedicated shock waveform recording device is equipped. The peak acceleration and duration values, synthesized instantaneously from the shock waveform of a three-axis acceleration sensor, can be immediately confirmed on a PC screen along with the waveform. Using the suspended drop test machine, unit load one-sided drop tests can also be conducted. ◆JIS Z 0170: Unit Load - Stability Test The drawback of the suspended free-fall test is that the posture during impact cannot be controlled.
