This is an ecological house that makes abundant use of bonestock panels. It is suitable not only for general residences but also for second houses for country living and temporary housing during disasters. Eighty percent of the materials used are made from small-diameter thinned timber, allowing for about three times the amount of wood to be consumed compared to conventional construction methods. It is a high-performance house developed for the effective use of small-diameter wood and the regeneration of forestry.

The company was named "Nabe Planning Co., Ltd." because it was started by two people with the name Watanabe. While being involved in numerous architectural projects as a design company, we were considering the effective use of thinned wood. In 2009, we developed a new technology for panelizing thinned wood (patent pending). Through this Wood Bank House, we are confident that we can protect the health of the forest. We would be grateful if as many people as possible could learn about the current state of Japan's forests and the Wood Bank House.
