Functions that are active in gantry structures and parallel axis drive mechanisms due to the large-scale and high-precision nature of the stage.
With the increase in size and precision of stages, a gantry structure and parallel axis drive mechanisms are becoming necessary. If the table is driven from the center when operating the mechanism, the resistance in the driving direction will occur evenly on both sides. In contrast, if one side is driven due to the mechanism's configuration, twisting (yawing) of the table will inevitably occur. This yawing will lead to inaccuracies in the position of the workpiece on the table. Additionally, there may be cases where central driving is simply not possible due to the table being very large or structural constraints. In such cases, the key point is how to drive the table without yawing. A useful feature in such situations is the "Same Command Dual Axis" function. For more details, please contact us.

basic information
■System It allows the operation and control of two parallel axes as a single axis. Physically, each axis is controlled and managed individually, so statuses and variables exist for each, but during operation, they can be treated as a single axis, enabling operations such as "automatic operation," "manual operation," and "return to origin." Additionally, it is possible to switch between parallel axis mode and independent normal mode to control each axis independently. ■Benefits - Achieves high precision (with errors of a few micrometers) in driving gantry and portal machines! - Realizes precise and stable control of large tables! - By combining with other optional functions (pitch error, tangential control, diameter correction, etc.), a high-precision system can be achieved! - In the 64-axis version of the PC-based fine motion (RTMC64-M3/EC), multiple parallel axes can be controlled within the same task. Example: Two sets of parallel axes Three or more parallel axes ■Accuracy The command error for the two axes is within the precision of one pulse. Disturbances caused by friction in the mechanism are resolved through the speed loop control of the servo amplifier. *With AC servos, disturbances can be corrected with control times of several tens of microseconds. By combining the functions of the servo amplifier, control with errors of a few micrometers against torque disturbances such as friction can be achieved.

Techno has consistently developed and sold "motion controllers" for over 35 years since its founding. Our greatest mission is to enable the more flexible use of advanced NC technology. To achieve this, we have realized "the openness of NC technology," "downsizing (miniaturization and minimal hardware)," and "a wealth of precise motion functions." Thanks to this, our products are used in over 600 themes and tens of thousands of devices. *These include precision machining machines (cutting, grinding, polishing, milling, boring, discharge, laser, water jet, etc.), winding machines, unwinding machines, industrial robots, 3D printers, pipe benders, spring manufacturing, film rolls, inspection devices, and more. We believe that our products, technology, know-how, and experience will continue to contribute to customers aiming for world-class top-level equipment.
