Amorphous Molded Transformer for Distribution (JAM Series)
Amorphous Molded Transformer for Distribution (JAM Series)
Chibu Electric Co., Ltd. will start selling "amorphous molded transformers" for distribution use made to order from October 1, 2012.
Molded transformers are supplied by electric utility companies, including renewable energy generation operators. They are incorporated into system interconnection receiving panels and electrical rooms or distribution boards in buildings, hospitals, and schools to convert electricity to the optimal voltage. Due to recent energy-saving measures and increased awareness of environmental issues, there is a demand for products with excellent energy-saving performance. Our company will launch the "Amorphous Molded Transformer," which employs amorphous alloy in the core of the molded transformer, achieving reduced losses and high efficiency from low load to rated load compared to conventional products.

basic information
Overview of Release Product Name Type Specifications Notes Amorphous Molded Transformer JAM Single-phase 30–500 kVA Three-phase 50–1000 kVA Features of Amorphous Molded Transformer By adopting amorphous alloy, high efficiency has been achieved across the entire range from low load to rated load. - The use of amorphous alloy has reduced energy losses during operation from low load rates to rated operation. - Particularly excellent efficiency is achieved during low load rate operation, contributing to energy saving and power conservation in renewable energy generation such as solar power, which typically has relatively low load rates. - The standby power (no-load loss) generated simply by connecting electricity can be reduced to about one-third compared to conventional silicon steel sheet transformers. - It significantly exceeds the revised Top Runner standards from the fiscal year 2014.
