Tile waste is generated in large quantities (900,000 tons annually) due to the rebuilding and renovation of buildings. Typically, it is transported to stable landfills and buried, but due to its shape, it is not very efficient for landfill. Therefore, Ecosystem Co., Ltd. has developed permeable special paving products and water-retaining composite concrete products called "K-Grand" by crushing this tile waste for use as aggregate. It is recycled as an environmentally friendly underground infiltration paving. Ecosystem Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the recycling of waste tiles, which were traditionally only disposed of in landfills, since 1999. We have developed various recycled paving materials (such as concrete-based) and have built a track record over the years. Currently, we are expanding this business know-how nationwide through franchising and establishing a local production and consumption recycling network for tiles. We are working on tile recycling across all of Japan. Initially, Mobacon was developed to produce our tile recycling concrete paving materials. At the same time, we believe it can serve as a plant applicable for infrastructure maintenance and disaster response, contributing to the future formation of our national land.
