This is a one-sided shear testing machine compliant with the standards of the Geotechnical Engineering Society. It is capable of conducting constant volume shear and constant pressure shear tests. The structure measures vertical stress on the reaction plate side of the shear box, and to minimize displacement on the reaction plate side, it employs a high-rigidity linear guide and a load cell with minimal deflection, ensuring accurate measurement of vertical stress on the shear plane. Additionally, it has been thoroughly compacted as a tabletop model.
