A die-cutting tool is a blade used to cut materials such as paper, plastic (film), rubber, and leather, often referred to as Thomson blades, Sweden blades, or Pinnacle blades. Many people may recognize these blades as the only types available. At Hagata-ya Co., Ltd., we produce "handmade forged fire-cutting dies" that combine traditional Japanese blacksmithing techniques with our unique technology. The dies created by Hagata-ya, which are made using our manufacturing expertise, offer sharp cutting performance with a precision of 0.03 millimeters, despite being handmade. They also possess durability that is unmatched by other blades (blade hardness HRC 63.5: Kagawa Prefectural Industrial Technology Center survey: August 1999), with a 99% resistance to chipping except for mistakes during use. We take pride in the fact that each die is crafted meticulously by skilled artisans.
