One side of the float glass substrate was ground with a 120 grit or 220 grit sandblasting to achieve a matte finish. Generally, sandblasted frosted glass with a higher sand number has a higher light transmission efficiency compared to frosted glass products with a lower sand number, but conversely, its diffusivity is lower. However, in the case of this product, the sandblasting is performed not only from one direction but also in a two-dimensional manner from both vertical and horizontal directions, resulting in higher diffusivity than the same glass with a lower sand number. Typically, frosted glass has a higher light transmission efficiency compared to opal light-diffusing glass, but it is characterized by lower diffusivity.
