basic information
The lattice period applied is denser than that of a transmission-type grating beam splitter, allowing for the selection of a grating with a period almost identical to that of a reflective diffraction grating. Generally, transmission-type diffraction gratings have a smaller grating frequency (sparser grating period) to maintain high diffraction efficiency at higher orders. In contrast, this product has a higher frequency (denser period), making it possible to achieve larger diffraction angles. It is ideal for applications that require miniaturization of devices. Please note that as the wavelength increases, the resulting diffraction angle also becomes larger, leading to total internal reflection on the backside of the substrate, making it difficult for light to transmit through the substrate (this is especially true for higher-order diffracted light).
