This is a water-soluble copper discoloration preventive agent that forms a complex of copper and organic substances on the copper surface, preventing oxidation and long-term discoloration. It has the characteristic that a coating treatment can be achieved simply by immersion. 【Specifications】 ■Appearance: Colorless transparent liquid ■Specific gravity: 0.95 ■pH: Neutral ■BT-5 forms a copper discoloration protective film. It is a standard product among the BT series. ■The surface treated with this agent does not experience a decrease in electrical resistance. ■It also has good adhesion to paints, reducing the rate of defects. ■The discoloration preventive film treated on the copper surface by BT-5 is very strong at low temperatures below 40-50°C, completely preventing discoloration. However, as the temperature rises, the discoloration preventive film is destroyed, and its discoloration prevention capability decreases.

■It is a neutral water-soluble agent. ■Simply immersing the product diluted with water at a ratio of 10 to 20 times will prevent oxidation for a long time and maintain a beautiful surface. ■Immersion temperature: Room temperature to 60°C (recommended 50 to 60°C) ■Immersion time: 30 seconds to 2 minutes (varies depending on immersion temperature.) ■For copper products that have already discolored due to cutting oil or heat from machining, using a copper oxide film remover like CU-600 in conjunction will be even more effective. ■Please use it to prevent discoloration after plating or barrel polishing. It is also effective when added simultaneously during barrel polishing. 【Usage Instructions】 Copper material → Degreasing → Rinsing → CU-600 → Rinsing → BT-5 → Rinsing → Drying Point 1… If the copper surface is not kept clean, unevenness will occur, leading to early discoloration due to an inconsistent anti-rust film.
