Our company has contributed to society through the provision of steel products that support infrastructure, based on the steelmaking technology we have cultivated for over half a century since 1937. This includes reinforcing bars that support reinforced concrete structures, which are a major construction method in civil engineering, as well as wire rods and shapes used in various urban infrastructures, and structural bars that serve as key components in industrial machinery. During this time, we have consistently worked on advancements in production and product technology, responding to societal and customer demands by developing mechanical coupling methods for reinforcing bars that improve productivity in construction, high-strength steel, and providing steel materials that enhance processability and reduce steps for users. While global steel production is expanding, in our country, a steel advanced nation, the generation of steel scrap, which is a steel product that has already reached the end of its useful life, is quantitatively sufficient to support steel production in the civil engineering sector, which is central to domestic infrastructure development. The role our company plays in the reuse of "iron" resources, utilizing domestic resources such as steel scrap with minimal energy to contribute to the formation of social capital, is becoming increasingly important. The Joint Iron and Steel Group will continue to steadily advance in pursuit of the unknown realms and possibilities of iron, in harmony with people, technology, and the natural environment.
