CORQ & COR-TEN landscape materials add shadows to a flat entrance exterior.
Landscape castings CORQ Weather-resistant steel plate COR-TEN
To the designer who sees the Japanese modern exterior as flat. Connecting the five types of CORQ and COR-TEN rust colors, we bring shadows from the ground to the wall surface.
CORQ (Cork) + COR-TEN is a proposal for exterior materials that combines landscape castings and weather-resistant steel plates, connecting the texture of rust from the ground to walls and three-dimensional structures. CORQ features five types of textures reminiscent of natural stone, each with unique variations that reflect light, creating shadows on the pavement surface. By using COR-TEN for signs, planters, and edging materials, a harmonious modern Japanese space can be created with a common rust color and aging effects. 【Recommended for the following issues】 - "The pavement looks uniform and flat." - "The texture of the floor and wall does not connect." - "Joint construction and drying time are required." <Reasons for selection> - CORQ = approximately 100mm square, with five surface designs - CORQ = installed by interlocking claws and recesses - COR-TEN = suitable for cutting and bending CORQ is not made of COR-TEN steel plates but is equivalent to FCD500-7 spheroidal graphite cast iron. The actual texture, weight, and appearance under light can be confirmed with a paid sample available from one piece. Please use the catalog download or consultation service. * "CORQ" is a registered trademark of Mr. Kyoji Takubo and Nippon Steel Corporation. * "COR-TEN" is a registered trademark of United States Steel Corp.

basic information
- CORQ = approximately 100mm square, with 5 types of surface design - CORQ = installed by interlocking the claws and recesses - COR-TEN = made of steel plate, suitable for cutting and bending When installing CORQ directly into the soil, cover it with a weed control sheet and lay gravel in the gaps. In the initial stages, there may be splattering or adhesion of rust juice due to flowing rust or raindrops, so please confirm the distance from concrete, walls, vehicles, drainage, water retention, edge fixation, and load conditions during the planning stage. CORQ is not made of COR-TEN steel plate, but is equivalent to FCD500-7 spheroidal graphite cast iron. The actual texture, weight, and appearance under light can be confirmed with a paid sample from a single piece. Please use the catalog download or combination consultation services.

Applications/Examples of results
In architectural and exterior design, this is used in situations where you want to add a sense of wabi-sabi to areas such as the entrance approach, courtyard, and around plantings. Uniform paving stones make it difficult to create shadows, and if the texture of the floor is disconnected from that of signs or planters, the accent paving can be switched to CORQ, while walls, signs, planters, and edging materials can be switched to COR-TEN. CORQ combines five types of surface designs to create a sense of fluctuation on the floor, and is installed by interlocking the surrounding claws and recesses. COR-TEN is developed into surfaces and three-dimensional forms through cutting and bending processes, creating a continuous rust color from the ground up to eye level. When directly installing CORQ onto the soil, it should be protected with weed control sheets, and gravel should be laid in the gaps. In the initial stages, there may be splattering or adhesion of rust juice due to flowing rust or raindrops, so please confirm the distance from concrete, walls, vehicles, drainage, water accumulation, edge fixation, and load conditions during the planning stage.
