What is a rotary valve? A rotary valve is a device in which a motor-driven rotor is installed inside a horizontal cylindrical housing. Powder or granular material fed from the inlet fills the rotor pockets and is conveyed downward by rotation, then discharged by gravity. By stopping the rotor, material flow can be shut off, and supply resumes when rotation starts again. When combined with a variable-speed motor, the feeding rate can be controlled. The size of the rotary valve is selected based on the required discharge capacity. Since the properties of powders and granules vary widely, the optimal configuration can be selected from a range of materials, rotor designs, and optional features. Drawing on many years of experience and proven performance, we have standardized rotary valves by application to meet a wide range of customer requirements.
