Company information
"Wood" absorbs carbon dioxide (CO2), emits oxygen (O2), and stores carbon (C), effectively trapping "carbon dioxide" in the form of "carbon" within "wood." This process is called "carbon fixation." Wood has excellent environmental cost performance. Muramoto Co., Ltd. has made "timber sales," which is considered highly important when thinking about the environmental impact on the Earth. It is often labeled as a "culprit of deforestation" (a misunderstanding). However, judging solely from one perspective that "using timber" harms the global environment is very shortsighted when it comes to utilizing the wonderful power of "wood." By "correctly utilizing timber," we can not only fix carbon dioxide on Earth in the long term but also rejuvenate and revitalize mountains by appropriately repeating the cycle of afforestation and logging over suitable periods. As professionals in timber sales, our company advocates and implements ways to use "timber" as a resource that enables appropriate renewal for all those who "use wood," "live in wooden houses," and "inhabit regions where wood grows," in a manner that contributes positively to the global environment.
