The Importance of Oil During Disasters: Oil Shortage in the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11
Oil is the last bastion! An explanation of the importance of oil during disasters.
Shipping restrictions from the primary oil manufacturers. Due to the disaster along the Tohoku coast, we were unable to secure tankers in the Kanto region at the request of the primary oil manufacturers. There is a shortage of petroleum products such as gasoline and kerosene, affecting not only the disaster-stricken areas but also causing great confusion in the Kanto region. Oil has been reaffirmed as "the most important energy source for future recovery and reconstruction efforts." [Overview] - It is necessary to prepare tankers and drums for the delivery of petroleum products during normal times as fuel for emergency generators. - Considering emergencies, it is necessary to store small quantities of oil fuel during normal times. - Large-scale oil tanks are mostly located along the coast, which poses a high disaster risk; therefore, storing fuel inland is safer. *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Company information
Since its establishment in 1988, the Shuwa Group has been striving, albeit modestly, to reform the logistics of kerosene to provide our customers with "better products, at lower prices, and more conveniently." Through our "door-to-door sales method," we have expanded our sales area by delivering kerosene directly to customers' doorsteps. With the rapid increase in kerosene handling volume, we have received cooperation from various suppliers, allowing us to efficiently deliver large quantities using our own large tank trucks. The customers supporting our door-to-door sales "Shuwa" have reached approximately one million households, primarily in our founding region of Kansai, as well as in Tokai, Kyushu, and Tohoku, solidifying our position as the top seller in kerosene retail in Japan.
