The "Cogent TYPE-C column," developed by MicroSolv in the United States, is a next-generation HPLC column based on high-purity Type-B silica that has been modified to replace over 95% of the silanol (Si-OH) on the silica surface with silane (Si-H). By replacing over 95% of the silanol with Si-H, a strong hydrophobic surface is created, providing greater stability compared to traditional silica-based phases.
