An innovative line that dramatically changes the world of cold forging, achieving the long-awaited industry goals of "removing bonding" and "removing pickling."
Bonded processing has long been the industry standard for cold forging lubrication treatment due to its high lubricating performance and versatility; however, issues such as industrial waste generation, deterioration of working environments, and energy costs have arisen. Additionally, while the one-component lubricant developed as an alternative excels in both environmental compatibility and forging performance, there were no devices made by manufacturers to fully utilize its capabilities. Mako has achieved forging performance that surpasses bonded processing through a technique called wet blasting for surface preparation. This has been consolidated into a device called 'WLS' that integrates the lubrication treatment from surface preparation to application.

Applications/Examples of results
We have received usage from car manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and forging manufacturers, and currently have a track record of over 20 units introduced. Our customers have given us great feedback, stating that the mold life has more than doubled compared to bonded products, and that there is no longer any variation in the dimensions of the products after forging.
Detailed information
-
The long-awaited "degreasing" and "bond removal" in the industry has been realized! An innovative device that dramatically changes the world of cold forging. All-in-one solution from degreasing and black oxide removal to lubrication treatment. ● Environmentally friendly ● High lubricity ● Significant reduction in lead time Wet blast and single-component lubrication application device "WLS".
-
Specific benefits of introducing WLS Three advantages of inline integration 1. Easy installation and relocation 2. Elimination of work-in-progress inventory, significantly reducing costs 3. No scratches or dents, compatible with near-net shape as well
-
Points for achieving performance beyond bonded with one-liquid lubrication: - Cleaning properties and fine uneven surface preparation through wet blasting - Stable press molding through inline integration with pressing
-
Benefits of spraying lubricant: Achieving a thin, even application without waste and adhering to the specified amount results in stable forming in cold forging.

As a promoter of wet blast technology for 37 years, with the motto "Always positive towards technology," I have nurtured this method while interacting with various customers. Thanks to 37 years of continuity, the environments where this technology can be useful have significantly increased. Initially, this technology was aimed at deburring metals and resins, but it has now expanded to include processing electronic material components used in mobile phones and other devices. Because it is physical in nature, the potential applications can expand infinitely as the abrasive materials, which are a key element, change. This is perhaps the greatest feature of this method. Makoh will continue to be committed to the physical method of wet blasting. Given its physical nature, I believe there are many elements that can contribute to the environment. By loving and evolving this method that has nurtured Makoh to this point, we aim to contribute to creating a better society; this is Makoh's wish.
