Information from slope sensors installed on slopes and inclined surfaces is collected via the "LoRaWAN network," a new wireless communication technology, to a cloud data center. This not only reduces the burden of patrol duties by allowing the status of each sensor to be checked from a computer or smartphone, but it also enables immediate notification to managers in the event of a risk of slope collapse due to rainfall or earthquakes, allowing for quick decision-making from a safe location without the need to visit the site directly. Additionally, to capture changes in the slope comprehensively, it is necessary to install a large number of multi-point (scatter-type) sensors on the slope. By leveraging the procurement network that Greenhouse has developed over many years, we have achieved practical accuracy and the functionalities required by many operators while reducing total cost of ownership (TCO).
