Detecting displacement is particularly difficult in harsh environments. Choosing between non-contact sensors, which require a clean and predictable environment, and cylinder-type sensors, which are sensitive to vibrations and misalignment, is a very challenging issue. The DS series sensors are solid-state and combine the robustness of non-contact sensors, enabling measurements in unpredictable applications under conditions such as mud, snow, and rain. Since they do not require special mounting, protection, or cleaning, they significantly reduce the effort and cost of installation, operation, and maintenance.
